Homo Faber Guide is an online platform dedicated to artistic craftsmanship that allows visitors to discover artisans and their masterpieces, explore museums, visit museums, galleries and ateliers selling unique handmade objects, and enjoy experiences in cities across the world.
The Guide is a brainchild of the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship, an international non-profit organisation that celebrates and preserves master craftsmanship and strengthens its connection to the worlds of design, hospitality and the wider arts. It is named after a beacon in this field, Michelangelo, a visionary artist and master artisan who embodied both creativity and craftsmanship at the highest level of excellence.
As a writer and Michelangelo Foundation’s artisan hunter working in Southern Europe, I identify and interview artisans, as well as the owners of museums, galleries, and ateliers across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, and Italy. I craft detailed profiles about their work for inclusion in the Guide, showcasing their craftsmanship and cultural contributions.
