About me

I am a journalist and researcher living between Italy and the Balkans. I write about society, minorities, culture, travel and everything in between. My stories have been published in The Guardian, Open Democracy, Euronews, Equal Times, BBC, Transitions and elsewhere, some of whom have won awards.

During my career, I authored research studies on social inclusion, education and media sustainability for the European Training Foundation, UNICEF, IREX and SembraMedia. I also worked as a copywriter for the Council of Europe, USAID and UNDP.

When I’m not writing, I volunteer at Naš most Zenica, a Bosnian association that empowers vulnerable groups through culture and art.

I hold a master’s degree in democracy and human rights from the University of Bologna and the University of Sarajevo. I speak English, Italian and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian language.
